Uso da ferramenta Bowtie para aprimoramento da gestão de risco na saúde

Resumo


Objetivo: Relatar a experiência de oficinas estruturadas e conduzidas para construção de Bowties com vistas ao aprimoramento da gestão de riscos e avaliar a opinião dos participantes acerca de sua aplicabilidade e adoção no contexto assistencial. Método: Estudo descritivo, exploratório, quantitativo, estruturado a partir de oficinas e avaliação dos produtos gerados pelos grupos multiprofissionais (Bowties) e posteriormente, levantamento da opinião dos participantes. Resultados: Foram realizadas 19 oficinas com participação de 505 colaboradores, desses, 254 (50,3%) profissionais assistenciais. Foram construídas 123 Bowties sobre 70 temas diferentes (47 assistenciais e 23 administrativos), sendo dois temas majoritariamente prevalentes: Erros de Medicação e Queda de Pacientes. Quanto a aplicabilidade da ferramenta, houve aprovação média de 86% e, das seis afirmativas avaliadas, alcançou-se concordância (concordo ou concordo totalmente), de no mínimo 77%. Conclusão: A Bowtie demonstrou ser uma ferramenta adequada para a gestão de riscos em saúde e promoção da segurança do paciente, favoreceu a reflexão e construção coletiva, bem como seu uso foi avaliado positivamente pelos participantes

Use of the Bowtie tool to improve health risk management

ABSTRACT

Objective: To report the experience of structured and conducted workshops for the construction of Bowties with a view to improving risk management and to evaluate the opinion of the participants about their applicability and adoption in the care context. Method: Descriptive, exploratory, quantitative study, structured from workshops and evaluation of products generated by multidisciplinary groups (Bowties) and later, survey of participants' opinions. 19 workshops were held with the participation of 505 employees, 254 of whom were assistance professionals. Results: A total of 123 Bowties were built on 70 different themes (47 care and 23 administrative), with two themes being mostly prevalent: Medication Errors and Patient Falls. As for the applicability of the tool, there was an average approval of 86% and, of the six statements evaluated, an agreement (agree or totally agree) of at least 77% was reached. Conclusion: Bowtie proved to be an adequate tool for managing health risks and promoting patient safety, it favored reflection and collective construction, as well as its use was positively evaluated by the participants.
